1.2 Data We Process Locally

To enhance the user experience, TrenchPal processes the following information locally on your device, without sending it to external servers:

Publicly Available Token Data: The extension retrieves and displays token-related insights using public APIs from decentralized exchanges like Photon, BullX, and Axiom.

User Preferences: Your settings (such as enabling/disabling specific icons) are stored locally in Chrome's storage and are never transmitted externally.

2. How We Use Permissions

TrenchPal requests only the necessary permissions required to perform its core functionalities.

activeTab Permission: This allows TrenchPal to overlay token-related insights on supported DEX websites when you visit them.

storage Permission: This is used to store your personal settings and preferences locally in Chrome storage.

Host Permissions: Required to access and display public token data from DEXs. These permissions are strictly used for reading public data and never involve storing or sharing personal information.

TrenchPal does not request permissions for background tracking, monitoring, or modifying your web activity outside of its intended purpose.

3. How We Protect Your Data

No External Servers: All processing happens locally on your device; no data is transmitted to third-party servers.

No User Tracking: We do not implement tracking technologies like cookies, analytics, or fingerprinting.

Secure Storage: All preferences are stored securely using Chrome&s built-in storage API.

4. Third-Party Services

TrenchPal interacts with public APIs to fetch token-related data. These services operate independently, and we do not control their data policies. However, all data accessed is publicly available and does not involve personal user information.

No Data Selling: We do not sell, trade, or transfer any user data to third parties.
